Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to come to Italy from the United States?

​There are no visa requirements to enter Italy. However, as of late 2026, U.S. citizens will need to apply for and receive ETIAS authorization before traveling to Italy for stays of up to 90 days.

 

Please ensure your passports have at least 6 months of validity prior to the wedding. If you are the main driver in your rental car, you will need an International Driving Permit.

Where should I stay?

We have reserved our venue to accommodate our families.

 

We have reserved room-blocks at a neighboring property Please see the "Accommodations" page for more detail. 

 

You can certainly choose your own accommodations as well. Please note, we will be providing transportation from our recommended accommodations only.

Will the events be held outdoors?

Yes, weather permitting most of the events will be held outdoors.

Do I have to follow a dress code?

Yes, each event has a carefully coordinated aesthetic.

Is there going to be a registry?

Your presence is the only gift we need - we kindly request no boxed or cash gifts.

 

We will not have a Registry.

What do I need to come to Italy from India?

You will need to apply for the "Schengen Visa" - the Italy Tourist Visa. Please ensure your passports have at least up to 6 months of validity prior to the wedding.

 

You can find additional details regarding the visa process on the Italian Consulate website.

 

If you are the main driver in your rental car, you will likely need an International Driving Permit. To apply, please visit your Regional Transport Office, submit forms (Form 4A & Form 1A), your Indian DL, Passport, Visa and photos.

What is the best way to reach our accommodation?

We recommend that you rent a car from the airport and drive to your accommodations. 

 

We recommend that you carpool & coordinate flights, where possible. 

 

All transportation for wedding events from our selected accommodations will be provided. Closer to the Wedding Weekend, we will be sharing more information on shuttle pick up times to ensure you are on time for all wedding events.

Should you wish to drive to the events yourself; please note there are long narrow roads that lead to the venue, so please drive carefully.

What will the food be like?

Our welcome dinner will consist of a casual evening filled with pizza and hors d'oeuvres and drinks. 

 

The Italian wedding day will consist of a Italian cocktail hour with antipasto and small bites followed by a plated 3-course dinner. 

 

The Indian wedding will consist of a Indian cocktail hour with Indian appetizers followed by a buffet style dinner. 

What will the weather be like?

The temperature during the day time should be in the 60s.

 

In the evenings, the temperature will be in the low 50s.

 

We do recommend keeping a fur coat, shawl or light jacket handy, particularly for the evenings.
